From one of the greatest hand glass blowers in the world of Art Glass comes this amazingly brilliant Banded Bowl. Created by one of the  best contemporary Muranese Maestro's, Eros Raffael, this mouth-blown piece was made entirely by hand at his furnace (Vetri D'autore...meaning, Author of Glass) in Venice, Italy.

This GENUINE Venetian piece is NEW and just arrived with a container full of Venetian Glass. This MINT condition piece measures as follows:

This multi-layered Venetian Vase was created by melting various colored rods of glass together in a fashion utilizing master techniques that have been passed down for more than 1000 years! It’s true…only a handful of true Italian artists can even attempt to create a piece of this shape and complexity.

This lovely piece was inspired by Fulvio Bianconi's legendary Banded Vase circa 1953. This pattern is made of clear glass with embedded bands of RED, ORANGE, BLUE, GREEN and YELLOW hues. This is a very old design and the technique needed, and only a few Maestro's can do. This look and feel, all by hand, is done with perfection...Eros is truly a Master! A COBALT BLUE canne dominates the rim of the bowl and adds that final touch needed to complete another one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

ABOUT FULVIO BIANCONI
(1915 - 1996)

Fulvio Bianconi began working very young as a glass decorator. "Mistakes are what I like best' he said, beginning with one thing and finishing with another, tackling the resistance of the material and drawing a lesson from it. What remains is an object of inexhaustible fascination.
the glassmaking technique developed by Fulvio Bianconi is playful and whimsical. To design an object, to conceive of a piece of architecture in glass, prior to being some sort of flight of metaphysics, is a simple, carefully considered gesture he says.
