Q)
How did Red Stick get started?
A) Red Stick
was an "early adopter" of using the Internet as a launch pad for its
business. Initially “shying” away from establishing a retail location in
favor of creating a web-based only business, was a strategy that has
proven enormously successful and thus allowed us to grow at a rate that
could never have been achieved if done the other way around.
Originally, the site featured approximately 50 pieces of
Steuben crystal. This later escalated into importing glass from other
regions of the world, I.e., Czechoslovakia, Romania, Sardinia, etc.
These did not prove as worthwhile, or as fulfilling as originally anticipated…that all
changed when we discovered the beauty of Venetian Art Glass. After
initially testing a few pieces, we steadily increased our importing
numbers of Venetian Art Glass to a point that has led us to the point
where we are now…a Direct Merchant of Art Glass.
Today, the Red Stick site offers
many different style of glass that can compliment any décor setting,
whether lighting, sculptures, vases, mirrors, glass paintings…you name
it and chances are we either sell it or can have it made…and ALL can be
purchased at discounts of up to 85% off of Gallery and Retail pricing.
In addition, the Red Stick name is
being branded everywhere, including the upcoming opening of our office
in Spinea, which is just outside of Venice in the Veneto region of
Italy, as well as our Glass Gallery on the Island of Murano itself. The

manufacturer, in our case the Furnace itself, eliminating the markups of

Q) Where are the

Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. Red Stick

process of expanding its operation into a larger warehouse space in the
Greater Phoenix area to accommodate recent growth. The space will also
accommodate a small showroom in the front that will allow for walk-in
traffic, by appointment only. Because we are essentially a web-based
operation, we feel that it is unnecessary to finance both a warehouse
and a retail location at this time.
Because of our buying exclusivities with many Furnaces in Italy and
coupled with our growing success, we are in talks with our accounts and
